Food for thought

While the weather in London continues being very British (sun! black clouds! tropical style night rains! humidity! sun again!), in Greece summer has officially arrived. It’s hot and sunny and my family and friends are already off to the beach. No biggie. I’m not jealous at all. Like really. I’m just as happy here, carrying my umbrella and sunglasses everywhere, constantly checking the weather and then whining about it. Oh! And seeking all things summery and holiday-y.

In other, brighter news, 40FT Brewery is launching their newest beer extraordinaire tomorrow. It’s fruity, Europe-inspired and if you’re in the London area, you really really have to give it a try. I’ll be making some food to go with it, which you’ll also probably want to try- like this pie.

All hail jet black coconut ash ice-cream! Qu’est-ce que c’est, you ask? Still not quite sure, but very very willing to give it a try.

If you haven’t been to Athens yet, waste no time- apparently, it’s basically Brooklyn by the sea. Gee, I miss my city so.much.

BBQ season is finally here and I’m ready to step up my game. Starting by making some delicious condiments at home and then covering the grill with fresh fruit, haloumi and giant portobellos.

Plants are hands down the easiest way to a summery decor update. Fruit trees are even better. I have my eye on the fig, lemon and lime ones.

Saved the best for last: please make a blueberry, lime and lavender galette this weekend. Just do it.
