As the saga of hectic weeks continues, once again, I find myself feeling silly tired yet super extra giddy about the weekend. Mike is in LA on business, which usually means the following: house up to my OCD standards, late evening mini yoga sessions, lots of recipe testing and my girls coming over for a long cheese & wine session. I hope your weekend is also filled with whatever makes you relax.

Since my last meal in Bao last week, I have been daydreaming of soft steamed buns nonstop. This easy video on how to make them at home couldn’t have come at a better time.

Until about ten years ago, music festivals were the highlight of my summer. Now, I’m more partial to spending most of my time in my parents’ house in the mountains, picking fresh vegetables early in the morning, using them in quick meals and moving from a couch to a chair and then back to a couch with a good book in hand.
